What steps do I need to take in order to move a heavy pinball machine up 5 stairs?

I need to move a Twilight Zone pinball machine up 5 stairs - just 5 stairs total. Do I need to take the legs off? There are just 2 of us to move it. Will the angular stress on the legs be too much if we set it down in the process? We're of slightly above average strength, and I don't have a dolly or anything. It would be a major hle to remove the legs, I just don't have the right equipment to support it without the legs. But if you know it's absolutely a terrible idea to try and do this with the legs on, I'd appreciate the input. Thanks for your help.
