Is it time to forgive and forget?
I only want to help so please take this advice as kindly as possible. Sounds to me like you are being more of a student and less of a role model. You are the teacher you have to find strength and maturity that sometimes may be a little hard at times. Kids do the craziest things, they are just trying to grow up. Peer pressure is very tough at that age. At first I thought you were teaching college or even high school. When you said 7th grade it took me by surprise. Being a teacher you are going to have to learn that children do things because of the silliest reasons. They want attention or they want to be liked and it sounds to me as if the same things that are important to these children are important to you. Being liked is not the most important thing in your position. You are there to be a role model and teach these children.Basically what Im trying to say is that stop worrying about silly things that children may do and start doing your job. Absolutely forgive them Im certain that most of them felt bad about it and if they didnt so be it they are being kids and doing silly things. Now help these unfortunate children. I hope you understand what Im saying. Sounds like they need your help and sweetheart they came to you which should show you that they look up to you and respect your opinion and to you that should say it all.
