Why is everybody so sensitive about the death of Ryan Dunn? Why is his death such a travesty?

I'll admit, it is inappropriate to laugh or joke about his death. I mean, he is a human being and all life is precious. However, people joke about the Holocaust and 9/11 all the time and nobody seems to care. Yet, when a guy who shoves a toy car up his ***, it's one of the greatest travesties of the twenty first century. Please explain why this is?
