I want to get a rabbit but i dont know what to get!?

i have a hutch big enough for 1 rabbit sitting in my garden unoccupied. so i would like to get a rabbit. i know how to look after them since i have guinea pigs. i dont know if i should get a boy or girl rabbit. i like the loook of lion head rabbits but my friend has told me about fly strike mainly with long hair rabbits, so i dont know if the mane thing would be a problem for a first time rabbit owner. please help me decide.
