England just doesn't have enough in the attacking third. Only Rooney represents a major threat. Crouch, Heskey, Cole, Defoe and Agbonlahor are just not world cl enough. Goalkeeping is also an issue. James, Green and Hart can't be comfortably relied on to be rock-solid for an entire tournament. England is much better than they have been with this current crop of players (Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Ferdinand, etc.). It appears they have finally found the right coach (Capello). But unless one of the non-Rooney strikers steps up and has the tournament of his life and James (or whoever) is rock-steady in goal, I don't see England winning it all. Also, they've historically had a bad record in penalty shootouts (and they're going to have to win one of those to win the cup). I think the semis is their ceiling.

What should we do regarding an unathorized credit transaction due to accidental damage at a restaurant?

My son accidentally cracked a restaurant table's gl cover. We left our name and cell number to the waitress since the owner was not there at that time. How to stop my dog from nipping/ biting?

So I just adopted a 7 month old hound/lab/pit mix from my local shelter. Hes a great dog! But hes a little bossy and hes getting nippy and biting. When he plays with the other dog and i pull him a way he nips at my arm, when he gets all pumped up he runs and goes for my legs. One time when we were playing he jumped up and snapped at my face. HVAC heater fan motor question.?

problem could be the capacitor but by now the motor has likely been damaged by overheating multiple times,,sound like you are capable of changing it yourself..i would recommend doing that at this point... a general replacement 3/4 hp motor should work fine...also get a new capacitor for the new motor...fyi-its considered a run capacitor even though it helps it start and run...a "start capacitor" is for belt drive motors and ac compressors and is always taken out of the circuit after initial start up either by a relay or a centrifugal switch.....the only problem you might have is the color of the wires on the new motor might not be the same as the old one..i would recommend taking the new motor out of the box at the parts place and having them point out each wire and its equivalent on the old motor,,perhaps even marking them with tape or splicing some of each of the old wires onto the new motors wires so all you have to do is connect it back the way you found it at home,,i guess this depends on your skill level,,i just dont want you to get that far and have the new motor burn up on you..also the new motor may be reversable whereas most oem motors are single direction...the direction of the motor is determined with the shaft pointing AWAY from you..perhaps get the parts house guy to figure out if new motor needs to be reversed and have him switch the reversing wires while you are there...,,dont forget to tighten the blower wheel set screw good after centering the wheel on the new motor shaft....hope this helps......dan

This car has been great, reliable, dependable, etc. It's a '92 240 sedan and it has 160,000 miles on it. Over the last four years my son has been driving it and lately he has been working on me to get rid of it and get him a different car. What are good strat replacement pickups?

I bought a vintage 57 reissue about a year ago and to be honest I was slightly disappointed. I love the strats sound and have played mexican strats, american strats and some others. I was originally going to get an american stratocaster but I found a 57 reissue brand new not used for 1200 which is alot cheaper then what they sell for at retail price. So I grabbed it and didn't really check it out first like a retard. What I dislike about it is it is to soft... like it doesn't have the raw, kind of raunchy tone something like the american strat had. The clean is nice but the distortion is extremely weak, I know strats are screamers but it is much weaker then every other strat I have played. I want a sound close to an american strat but they don't sell those pickups separately or not that I have seen. So what would you recommend that would get me a similar sound.

Is this pork roast worth cooking any more?

I'm cooking the last pork roast from a pig we bought in 11/07 in the crock pot. It was wrapped very well by the butcher that processed the pig. The package looked fine, and the freezer has never lost power. It was at the bottom of the freezer and I must have just forgotten about it. I defrosted it in the fridge for a couple days and when I pulled it out of the packaging the roast looks like any other I've ever seen that was a whole lot fresher. Something weird in my dog's stool?

I have two dogs and they are very good at going outside when they need to. Well, someone had an accident in the house and I noticed half was solid and the other half was kinda runny but when I went to clean it up it kinda broke apart and I noticed it was solid in the middle but incased in slime. I wanted to gag! But, now I am really concerned about what this is. I am trying to think what would cause this as they haven't been eating anything out of the ordinary. Spend time talking with kids, or broken people (not saying that to be mean), or people that have had a hard run of luck. It will build your conversation skills, your confidence, it will look good on your resume, and moving around that much will start giving you a dramatic effect with your self proclaimed weight problem. I have some experience in this area, having had a severe compression fracture with 3 herniated disks, a ruptured disk, and degenerative disk disease. What this is saying in short, is that you have some mild disk abnormalities in some areas, but it seems that the doctor feels as though the source of your pain is a herniated and protruding disk between your L3 and L4 vertebrae. "L "refers to the lumbar (which is the lower) segment of your spine. (Starting at the bottom of your spine, the first vertebrae is L5, then L4, then L3, L2, L1, and then your thoracic vertebrae begin..."S-1" mentioned above refers to your sacrum, or tailbone, located right below your spine. There is also a disk between L5 and S1.) Herniated disks, especially when they protrude, can put pressure on a nerve (and sometimes they can't gauge how much pressure from just an MRI), and this may cause SEVERE pain that can be almost crippling. Surgery should be somewhat of a last resort, seeing as there is no other significant spinal damage, but by no means should you rule it out if that's what it takes to help relieve your pain. There are other treatment options that you could try first, such as long-acting cortisone epidurals. Sometimes it may take up to a series of 3 before you achieve maximum pain relief, but it really is worth trying before you resort to surgery. I personally have had much success with these epidurals, in combination with physical therapy. Even now, though, I still use pain medications as needed. Another person I know who has had long-acting cortisone epidurals said that they really worked wonders at first, but as the years ped, they failed to continue to provide relief, and she found that surgery was then a good option for her. Another option is a back brace, support, or lumbar support of some kind. These can often provide relief in certain ways. When you are in a lot of pain, good posture is the last thing on your mind and this often can lead to even more pain. The down side of using a brace is that they can be awkward and sometimes restrict movement to the point that you are not able to be comfortable or perform regular tasks.....however, the function of restricting movement can be beneficial in that it can also prevent further injury. I have personally found a brace to be beneficial. I know that every person is different, and the doctors may suggest other modes of treatment that may be better suited for your treatment, but I thought I'd share my experience and insight. The only other advice that I have is to make sure that you seek treatment with a doctor that you are comfortable with, and one that is willing to answer all of your questions to your satisfaction, and one that is understanding of your needs (lifestyle, pain management, etc), because this could potentially be a long road to recovery (although I hope it is not). Don't ever be afraid to seek a second opinion or get a new doctor if you feel even slightly uncomfortable with the one you start out with, or if he/she doesn't explain every available option and encourage you to make decisions and to voice your opinion about your mode of treatment. Good luck with your treatment. I hope you are able to find relief, because nobody should have to live with that kind of pain. I hope you have found some of this helpful!

Gas boilers question for gas engineers?

I have a gas boiler, which was found to be not sealed from the lug nuts at the top on the inside of the boiler. There was a layer of dust inside the boiler on the top covering. I have a strong smell of unburnt fumes coming into my living area. Can someone possibly suggest what if anything is going on with the boiler? I have done a test with a candle as I know that CO2 will not support combustion, but the candle stays lit. Any suggestions as to what my next step should be?

My lips are severely red and peeling and feel as though they are constantly dry which they are not & they burn?

In March 2004 i got braces...then in July of 2004 my lips turned severly red and were always sore and burning. I used petroleum jelly for a long time and thought it was just the nickel in the braces and that i could tough it out for the 2 years...Well here I am 5 years later and my lips are still "dry" severely red, burning, and peeling. I use softlips chapstick because it is the only thing that doesn't seem to bother my lips..but who knows it probably does too and I just don't realize it. My skin is sensitive to nickel, and I also have eczema but it is dormant (never flares up) so I don't understand my lips. I've tried buying nickel free silverware and so far it hasn't helped. I want to try only drinking/using bottled or filtered water..but since obviously i have to take showers, I don't know how I would go about doing this...If anyone has any experience or anything please let me know.. i'm willing to try almost anything!!!! Parenting dilemma. Husband and I disagree on what movies children can watch.?

My husband and I are both Christians. We are a combined family. I had 3 children when we married and he has 1. Our parenting styles are different. One of the areas we disagree on are the types of movies we let them watch. My stepson is used to watching pretty much anything he wants. He's only 10 years old. My children are censored. We disagree on what is appropriate for them. For example, today my stepson asked to watch Van Heilsing (vampire movie PG-13). I said no, it's demonic and not appropriate for anyone, not to mention a 10 year-old child. He told me my husband lets him watch it and he asked if he could watch it when my husband got home. I told him I would talk to him about it. I don't even want the movie in my house. My stepson is dealing with a lot of negativity at home and I can't see why my husband doesn't see that his movie choices are not helping him. In my opinion we should be flooding him with positive, uplifting and Christian/family movies. they like watching death, murder, destruction and witchcraft. It drives me insane. My stepson also tries to lure my 8 year-old daughter into watching violent stuff and perverted stuff on tv. He'll tell her to come here, rewind the movie, and show her a 1/2 naked man or a comment. My stepson knows that he can get between the two of us with this and he uses it often. We just flat out don't agree. I don't know how to deal with it. How do I knowingly let a child watch something I know is morally wrong when my husband says it's okay? Getting upset just allows the enemy to divide us. Tips for training a young horse to collect?

Under the saddle, mostly, but if anyone has tips for collection on a lunge line that would be much appreciated. I ride English, but I'm temporarily using a Western saddle (although an English bridle and direct reining) because my horse is young and was mostly trained Western Pleasure. My horse is 5, and good tempered but can be stubborn. He is not particularly spooky but needs a lot of exercise to keep him on good behavior. I have walked/trotted/cantered and I got him a little less than a year ago when he was four. He has a very quick trot and canter though and I want to collect him more than just using my reins to slow him. I do work about once a week with a trainer so any advice I will check with her first, and don't worry, I am being responsible so no need to tell me to seek help. I've got plenty of resources.

I have a fear of time..?

Everybody has their phobia's, and it's hard to confront them. I honestly think, from how you described it, is that you feel as though you have done nothing or accomplished anything. That's why time scares you, it's because you feel as though you have little to no time to accomplish what you need to accomplish. If that really indeed the problem, you first need to relax. Don't let time scare you, and remind yourself that there are things you can do with all the time you still have. And the way to remind yourself, is to set goals for yourself. Make yourself a schedule, and control what you do during the day. control how you feel towards time. Also, don't forget to give yourself some time to relax. With all these reminders, and being able to relax, you will start to feel in control of what you do with your time. Hope that helps, feel free to contact me if you still want to talk about it. :)

Light is the speed limit of the universe (at least as we understand it in clical physics.) This means just that. Here's a thought problem for you. You leave earth at 3/4 of the speed of light. A sister ship leaves at the same time going in the opposite direction at 3/4 of the speed of light. Can you communicate with that sister ship? It would seem that the separation distance between the two ships is increasing faster than the speed of light, but is it? In fact you can communicate, and here's the proof. You would have to agree that either ship can still communicate with earth, and that earth can communicate with either ship. Since that is true, it means they communicate with each other! The speed of light is not additive. The edge of the universe, which is a relative thing, is the point at which from your own perspective space is expanding at the speed of light. When an astronomer says that something is 10 billion light years away, he is measuring the red shift in real time. It would probably be better to say that the light coming from that object has covered 10 billion light years of space. Does that mean the object is now 20 billion light years away? No. Something that distance by the way, would have an enormous red shift and be retreating at a significant percentage of the speed of light.

Your first car should be a SAFE car with all other considerations second. Civics and Cobalts etc DO NOT hold up in a wreck especially with a large PU or SUV 4X4 they will slide under it and kill you airbags won't do any good. Get a Ford Ranger or Chevy S10 they get good mpg and are more reliable than either of those cars. Better yet get a full size PU that way you can get work moving etc and pay for it and with gas the way it is you won't have to drive to see your folks and grow up!

I had a drug related DWI arrest in Springfield, Mo on January 1st, 2010 and up to now no charges have been filed. I was told at the beginning of this by my lawyer that they could only prosecute it for one year from the date of the arrest. Since it's been over a year, I asked my attorney for a refund of the $2000 retainer and then, suddenly, I get a call back from the attorney's office telling me that the prosecutor has taken the case "under advisement". What does that mean? My attorney also said that it would be tried in municipal court (WRONG). I called the city prosecutor's office and they say that they never try drug related cases in city court and that it would have been forwarded to a state court. As of this date, no charges have been filed. If they do file, can I request a dismissal based on the speedy trial rights?

What steps do I need to take in order to move a heavy pinball machine up 5 stairs?

I need to move a Twilight Zone pinball machine up 5 stairs - just 5 stairs total. Do I need to take the legs off? There are just 2 of us to move it. Will the angular stress on the legs be too much if we set it down in the process? We're of slightly above average strength, and I don't have a dolly or anything. It would be a major hle to remove the legs, I just don't have the right equipment to support it without the legs. Is it possible to get Windows Media Player to create an auto playlist by tempo?

I have the tempo already igned to each song (via another media player), but when I view the song in WMP, I don't have the option to view tempo NOR filter by tempo using auto playlists or any lists for that matter. The only way I seem to be able to even see the tempo in WMP is by using advanced tag editor. One at a time, it is prohibitive to even do a manual playlist that way. Any ideas?

But I've never seen them, "work" as herd dogs.Can they be trained to herd sheep and cattle? Yeah i agree with the pther girl you still have a very slim size (i'm guessing size 6 is uk size 10 instead of u.k size 6 and u.s says 2) and so many women are pear shaped it's considered quite a feminie look. Swollen throat with sore upper neck muscle and plugged up ears?

About 2 days ago I went to best buy and used those new ipads and got on Internet with the apple computers they had for public usage. On the way home my throat was beginning to feel a little weird all of a sudden, then when I got home minding my own business my throat was feeling pretty bad. Yesterday morning when I got up my upper and lower back muscles were incredibly sore and tight (though I was lifting weights the day before) and my whole upper neck was really sore along with my throat feeling swollen I also had an incredibly painful headache and the back of my eyes hurt too. Along with that I felt a little nausious but it went away, when I got up from bed my headache was killing me. So during the whole day yesterday I pretty much had a bad swollen throat and headache with a little fever that came and went away but my speech wasn't affected by my throat. Now this morning when I got up my throat became much more swollen than before however my headache has completely healed and my stomache doesn't hurt at all. Though unlike yesterday I didn't have any runny/stuffy nose today my left nostril is a little stuffed with mucose and my back muscles don't feel sore as much anymore. Right now my throat is really swollen badly, it's not really sore because whenever I swallow it doesn't have that sandpaper feeling instead it just hurts really bad and my upper neck muscles feel sore. My nose is a bit runny and both my ears are pretty plugged up and when I talk my voice sounds different cuz of my throat. I have a little fever but I think it's gone now I'm not chilly or hot at all it's just my throat that's the most painful. I also looked at my tonsils and they don't appear to be big or anything but whenever I spit mucose or blow my nose it's pretty green.

What is causing my car to do this?

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry, and I just got my front right tie rod fixed, because my car was wobbling. But when driving around 40 mph my steering wheel will jerk me towards the left, sometimes is will jerk me towards the right also. And when I barely turn my steering will it will pop me left or right really fast, that can't be normal. I was told that I needed a new lower control arm busing, what is that? And what does that do? Could it also have something to do with needing an alignment?? Also another problem. When I go to accelerate my car hesitates really bad, like trying to go up from 20 to 20 mph it won't go. Now I have been told three different reasons for that, the gas dials or something are set wrong, I need a new gas timing hose, and it could be the timing belt. I have looked on the internet and seen that my car could need a new fuel filter. I really have no clue. Any help or explanations?? Thanks.

Someone Backed into my car..what to do?

So this morning I go out to my car and someone had backed into it. The mark appears to be from a hitch and hit midway up the middle of my trunk lid just above taillight height. My best friend is being mean and rude!!?

My best friend has been really rude. I have known her for 6 years. She has always been a little rude from the beggining but still a really good friend to have around. How could a video card not have a dvi port?

i saw this one question where someone had problems with their display on their pc monitor that has an hdmi port. and the answerer said does your video card have a dvi port? dont they all have one isnt that what makes the picture display when you connect the vga cord? why would he ask that if all pc;s need the dvi port in order to even display the picture? im just wondering if he asked this because there are some pcs that dont have a dvi connected tot heir video card and if thats true then how do they display their picture then? sorry im a noob at this pc stuff im trying to learn ;D.
